PURPOSE:To reduce fuel cost by making indication of shift-up or shift-down in accordance with the instruction signal for shift-up or shift-down instruction signal fed from an arithmetic unit in accordance with the balance between the speed of a vehicle or the revolutions of an engine and load. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit 59 compares optimum shift car speed and the actual car speed V whose signal is fed from a car speed sensor 51 at all times. When V is equal to or larger than the optimum shift-up car speed from 2nd speed to 3rd speed or 3rd speed to 4th speed, the unit 59 gives an indication instruction to the shift-up indicator 71 of an indicator 70 via a common buss 58, an output port 67 and an amplifier 68. When V is smaller than optimum shift-down speed, the unit 59 gives indication instruction to the shift-down indicator 71 of the indicator 70 via the same route. |
