<p>The invention relates to surface-coolers and spray-coolers, such as are used underground for example. A driving and supply unit (1) with an air duct (21) draws warm air (2) in and conveys it with a fan (20) to a spray-cooler (30) with spraying nozzles (31) which atomise cooling water. On the floor, the cooling water is delivered in a high-pressure water pipe (7) and is first supplied via a control (9) to an impulse turbine (10) with a reducing gear (15), in order to drive the fan (20). The drive jet (27), which is deflected in the turbine, is caught with a collecting opening (26) and supplied to the spraying nozzles (31) via a cooling water pipe (8). On the way from the collecting opening (26) to the spraying nozzles (31), the pressure in the cooling water is increased, in order to obtain a pressure gradient across the spraying nozzles (31), which ensures their functioning. …<IMAGE>… </p> |
