<p>At least a portion 8 of the mat is tacky whereby the ball or roller of a device such as a computer mouse can be cleaned by passing the ball or roller over that portion. The tacky portion 8 may be made from highly plasticised PVC soft polyurethane synthetic rubber or silicone rubber. The lower surface of the mat may be tackier than the upper surface to prevent the mat from slipping. The tacky portion 8 may be in the form of stippled texture bands 9 separated by smooth bands 10. A major part of the upper surface 2 of the mat may be covered by a sheet 3 of woven polyester incorporating a carbon fibre interweave 4 connected to an electrical earth point 7. <IMAGE></p> |
