<p>According to the invention, the device comprises: - a signal input (31) receiving an input data signal, - adjustable amplification means (33) coupled to this input (31) for receiving the input data signal and altering its level as a function of a gain control signal, so as to derive therefrom an output data signal on a signal output (52), - evaluation means (37) coupled to the input (31) for receiving the input data signal and deriving therefrom an amplitude signal which depends on the level of this latter signal, - processing means (38) coupled with the evaluation means (37), receiving the amplitude signal thereof and deriving therefrom a gain control signal according to a defined gain control law, this gain control signal being transmitted to a gain control input (51) of the amplification means (33), these means being arranged so that the level of the output data signal has a reduced dynamic range compared to that of the input data signal. <IMAGE></p> |
