NAPHTHOTHIAZEPINE DERIVATIVES AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A novel naphthpthiazepine derivative of the formula: wherein R<1> is a lower alkoxy group, R<2> is hydrogen atom or a lower alkanoyl group, and R<3> and R<4> are the same or different and hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, are disclosed. Said derivative (I) and a salt thereof are useful as hypotensive agents and/or coronary or cerebral vasodilators.
