<p>A sample (4) of the metallurgical product (1) is taken, and a test-piece (7) is machined from this sample, by removal of material so as to create outer surfaces (11, 12, 15, 16) of the test-piece at different depths below the initial outer surfaces (2, 3) of the metallurgical product (1). The test-piece (7) is immersed in a bath containing hydrogen ions. The outer surfaces (10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16) of the test-piece (7) are examined so as to count, for each of the surfaces, the number of pits formed by removal of a surface layer of the product (1), under the effect of the pressurized hydrogen accumulated in each of the inclusions situated near the outer surface of the test-piece. <IMAGE></p> |
