<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate accurate stop positioning and starting by generating thrust in an arbitrary advancing direction through utilization of magnetic force between an electromagnet on a fixed side base and two targets mounted on a magnetic levitation pallet and an intermediate sensor target. CONSTITUTION:Two targets 2A, 3A, spaced apart by a distance A, and an intermediate sensor target 7 are arranged on a pallet 1. Coils 4, 5 are applied on yokes 2B, 3B mounted on a fixed base 8 through an interval B(Bnot equal to A) thus forming brakes M1, M2. A sensor 6 is located between the yokes 2B, 3B. Upon stoppage of the pallet 1 advancing in the direction (a), for example, the sensor 6 detects the sensor target 7 to produce positional information of displacement which is then amplified 9 and processed 10. A signal processor 10 excites the coils 4, 5 through current amplifiers 11, 12 to stop the pallet 1 at a regular position without reciprocating the pallet 1 and delivers pulses only to one amplifier at the time of starting 12. According to the constitution, the pallet can be stopped at an accurate position and started easily.</p> |
