PURPOSE:To establish an audio signal processing method, which can make high efficiency encoding with a higher compression ratio through utilization of the masking threshold level based on the characteristics of the auditory sense. CONSTITUTION:An audio signal processing method is provided to convert audio signals into frequency region and make bit allocation of these converted signals so as to generate encoding, wherein determination of the masking threshold level at which noise reduction on the auditory sense due to the masking effect is performed through the use of the signal spectral distribution in the current frame and the distribution in the gone frame. |
