<p>Mixtures of organo-fluror cpds. which are homopolymerisable or form copolymers with (melt)acrylic and vinyl molecules, the highly fluorinated homo- and copolymer mixtres being used as oil-proofing and water-proofing agents for textiles, leather and paper, and for improving the surface props. of natural and synthetic elastomer, comprise a fluoro cpd. of formula: Cnf2n+1 (CHR2)2NR1Z and a corresp. fluoro cpd. of formula: Cn-1 F2n-1 -CF2=CR2CHR2-NR1Z (wherein CnF2n+1 is a linear or branched perfluoro-chain n is a no. 1-20 pref. 6-12; R2 is H 1-3C lower alkyl; -NR1Z is an amino acrylate Z + R1 being the same a different and are H, 1-20C alkyl, 3-10C alkenyl, 3-12C cyclanic, 5-12C cycloalkenyl, aryl or the radical CnF2n+1(CR2R4) a in which a is 2 or 4, pref. 2; R2 is as defined; R4 is as R2 and R2 and R4 may be the same or different; Z and R1 may also together form an alkylene gp. of formula: (chR3)p in which p is 2-6, R3 is H or 1-3C lower alkyl).</p> |
