PURPOSE:To suppress, by means of a simple constitution, the temperature difference between the central part and the peripheral part of an electrophoretic layer on which a specimen is developed. CONSTITUTION:A heat-equalizing plate 28 and, in addition, a heat buffer plate 30 are installed at the outer circumference of an electrophoretic part 16 which is composed of a gel layer 10 and one pair of glass plates 12, 14 sandwiching it. The heat-equalizing plate 28 is constituted of a member whose heat conductivity is high; the heat buffer plate is constituted of a member whose specific heat is high. Consequently, the Joule heat which has been generated in the gel layer 10 reaches the heat-equalizing plate 28 via the glass plates 12, 14, and most of the heat is conducted to the face direction of the heat-equalizing plate. Here, the heat buffer plate 30 makes the heat of the heat-equalizing plate 28 gradually escape to the outside, and acts to relax heat from the outside. |
