PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium having environmental resistance, e.g. heat resistance or moisture resistance, which can transfer the profile of irregular preformat with high accuracy by forming an optical recording layer of an electrodeposition layer having irregular preformat pattern. CONSTITUTION:A supporting substrate 2 is applied through an adhesive layer 3 onto an electrodeposition mold 8 onto which an optical recording layer 4a is formed in preformat pattern. Subsequently, the electrodeposition mold 8 is exfoliated to obtain an optical recording layer 4 wherein the irregular preformat is patterned on the supporting substrate 2 through the adhesive layer 3. An adhesive layer 6 and a protective layer 7 are then laminated sequentially thereon and stuck together to produce an information recording medium. |
