PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing powder for rare earth sintered magnet which is simple and low in cost. CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder is manufactured by mechanical alloying with the aim of manufacturing alloy powder containing each element powder or each element of R2Co17 (Provided that, the R is the element of at least one kind of rare earth elements containing Y.) powder, which contains R and Co as its main components, for sintered magnet use. Moreover, this alloy powder is subjected to solution heat treatment to sinter, whereby it becomes possible to manufacture a rare earth sintered magnet, which is superior in magnetic field orientation and residual magnetic flux. |
