[Also in Division A4] In a corner joint, mitred tubular members 10 are connected by an angle bracket 12 comprising a stem 14 with a lateral tongue 16, the stem having a major portion positioned in one member 10 and a portion with the tongue positioned in the other member 10. The portions of the stem and the tongue are snug sliding fits in their respective frame members 10. The bracket is formed by extruding a spine with a fin, part of the fin then being cut away. In Fig. 5 (not shown) a stem carrying a plurality of tongues which can be trimmed to fit members 10. |
