PURPOSE:To eliminate trouble in a driver to be built in by making a groove for storing excessive adhesive in the surface for bonding the inner peripheral surface of a rotor hub to an annular holding member thereby positively bonding the part applied with adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor comprises a rotor hub 3 being supported rotatably on a stationary member 1, and a magnetic fluid seal 13. The magnetic fluid seal 13 is bonded through the annular holding member to the inner peripheral surface 11 of the rotor hub 3. A groove 30 for storing excessive adhesive 29 is made in the surface 28 for bonding the inner peripheral surface 11 of the rotor hub 3 to the annular holding member 16. The groove 30 is made in the inner peripheral surface 11 of the annular holding member 16 and/or the rotor hub 3 and the cross-section of the groove 30 is made substantially semicircular or square. According to the constitution, the part applied with the adhesive 29 can be bonded positively without causing exfoliation or blot resulting in the elimination of trouble in a driver to be built in. |
