PURPOSE:To easily correct the position of an input picture regardless of the form of it by using attribute information obtained from the picture information. CONSTITUTION:The picture information read by a picture information reading means 101 is stored in a picture information storage means 102. Rectangular blocks are extracted from the picture information by means of a block extraction means 103 in succession, and a block shape analysis means 104 analyzes the shape of the picture of the extracted block to store the analyzed block shape in a block shape storage means 105. Picture signals from the means 102 is displayed on a picture signal display means 106, and the block shape analyzed by the means 105 is displayed on a display means 108. According to the shape analysis result of the picture signal located corresponding to the extracted block, a position direction means 107 specifies the location on the picture signal display means 106 and corrects the inclination of the input picture signal. |
