PURPOSE:To provide the inexpensive optical fiber signal converter which can supply a light signal of a stabilized level from a GI type multimode optical fiber to a single mode optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A lens 12 collimates the incident light signal 16 from a GI type multimode optical fiber 11 to a collimated light beam 17. On the other hand, the lens 14 supplies an exit light signal 19 to the single mode optical fiber 15. A diffusion plate 13 disposed between the lenses 12 and 14 so as to face the lenses supplies a diffused light signal 18 formed by diffusing the collimated light signal 17 to the lens 14. |
