PURPOSE:To surely prevent excessive speed reduction which allows an engine speed to exceed the allowable maximum engine apeed by providing an excessive speed reduction operation limiting means in a proper portion of a operation force transmitting mechanism for connecting a shift lever and transmission, and controlling this limiting means according to car speed. CONSTITUTION:In a transmission for changing speed by driving a shift select lever 8 in a transmission 7 through a select rod 3 and shift rod 4 through operation of a shift lever 1, an excessive speed reduction operation limiting means is provided at a proper portion of the select rod 3. That is, a stepped stopper member 18 is fixed to the select rod 3, and an electromagnetic actuator 19 is arranged in the vicinity of this stopper member 18. The operation piece 20 of the electromagnetic actuator 19 is controlled in three stages, the reference state (a), the first projection state (b), and the second projection state (c), by controlling an electromagnetic driving circuit 17 through a micro computer 15 according to the car speed detected by a car speed sensor 16 so as to limit the operation of the select rod 3 according to car speed. |
