PURPOSE:To prevent inundation and leakage in the joints of each box culvert. CONSTITUTION:In a facility, in which the rear ends of preceding box culverts K and the front ends of succeeding box culverts K are connected successively through rectangular cylindrical collars 4 made of steel and which is propelled and laid under the ground, stepped sections 1D for externally fitting said collars 14 made of steel through annular rubber rings 2 are formed at the front end sections of at least the succeeding box culverts K. Chamfering sections 1E are formed at the four corner sections of the stepped sections 1D respectively, and sections affixed and contacted to each chamfering section 1E of the rubber rings 2 are pushed by spacers 3 disposed at the reentrant angle sections 4C of the collars 4 made of steel.
