摘要 PURPOSE:To make combined use of different types of safety devices by deciding optimum air bag starting timing from the integral processing result of the output from an acceleration sensor and the discriminant result of the presence or the absence of seat belt fastening and by outputting an air bag starting signal. CONSTITUTION:An integral processing unit 3 applies the integral process to the output sa of an acceleration sensor 2 to input an integral output signal sd in a control device 1. Meanwhile, on fastening a seat belt and on closing a seat belt switch 4, a detecting signal K from a detecting circuit 5 is inputted to a switch 9 and to the selecting switch 11 of a timing decision circuit 6. The decision circuit 6 compares at a first comparison path 7 and a second comparison path 8 the integral output signal sd with respective reference voltages. The results are inputted to the selection switch 11. The selection switch is switched to a terminal 11a when the detection signal K becomes a low level. Consequently, an air bag driving circuit 13 is driven at the time of seat belt fastening, and an air bag ignition current IA is supplied to an ignition squib 14 in an air bag device X.
