PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material with high color developing density and good storing stability of an image part by providing a heat-sensitive recording layer contg. an electron donating cololess dye and a specified phenol deriv. being an electron acceptive compd. on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A coating liq. for a heat-sensitive recording layer is prepd. by grinding and dispersing each specified amt. of an electron donating colorless dye and a phenol deriv. of formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a phenyl group or an alkyl group; R3 is an alkyl group, alkoxy group, a halogen group or a phenyl group; R4 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aralkyl group) in a water soln. of a water-soluble polymer compd. such as polyvinyl alcohol. A substrate such as a paper of superior quality, a synthetic paper and a plastic film is coated with this coating liq. and is dried to laminate a heat-sensitive recording layer and to obtain a recording material. As the electron donating colorless dye, triphenylmethane phthalide compd., fluorane compd. etc., are used. |
