PURPOSE:To reduce an unevenness of printing density caused by an unevenness of printing pitch in a printer to obtain a high-quality image by a method where in a density pattern grows using a part for generating a plurality of growing patterns at random and a part for regularly generating a plurality of growing patterns in combination. CONSTITUTION:An address A8 of a density pattern generation table 205 is a 600 dpi image clock VDLK. An ON generation code and an OFF generation code are outputted from a pattern table for one 600 dpi dot. A PWM processing part monitors an MSB of a density code. If the appropriate bit has a logic '1', it recognizes an ON generation code. If the bit has a logic '0', it recognizes an OFF generation code. In addition, PWM is conducted per 1/8 dot by density codes D5-D3. Furthermore, PWM is conducted per 1/64 dot by density codes D2-D0. |
