PURPOSE:To make it possible to proceed to image forming operation speedily by providing a means for receiving image information data from an external device, a means for storing received image information, and a means for detecting completion of warm-up of an image forming means. CONSTITUTION:When an engine section 3 is on standby and a controller 4 receives an image information data from an external device 10, the received data is stored in an auxiliary memory means 9. Warm-up operation is completed and a printable signal is sent to a signal detecting means 5 of the controller 4. After a print ready state is established, an image information developing means 6 receives a data in an auxiliary memory section 8 so as to develop in a bit image, its image data is sent to the engine section 3, printed, and discharged. Thus, the image information data from the external device 1.0 can be received immediately after a power source is turned on without waiting for the warm-up operation of the image forming means. |
