1344318 Bearings SOC NATIONALE D' ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE MOTEURS D AVIATION 14 Oct 1971 [27 Oct 1970] 47804/71 Heading F2A A bearing assembly for accommodating fluctuating axial thrust comprises two radial ball bearings, in each of which one ring is mounted to slide axially, the slidable rings 4b, 5b being urged towards abutments 1c, 14 by resilient means 15, and a further abutment 15a or 15b which limits displacement of its associated ring, contrary to the action of the thrust applied against it by the resilient means, to a value equal to the internal axial clearance of the other bearing. The ring 5b is provided with a castellated external flange 11 which engages elements 12 secured to the housing by a threaded ring 14 and located by pins 12a; the difference between the thicknesses of the flange 11 and the elements 12 provides for axial movement of the ring 5b. |
