CONTROL OF SHIELD MACHINE AND OPERATION SUPPORT METHOD

PURPOSE:To make it possible to respond properly by controlling a shield machine based on a rule base inference and retrieving on a case basis when it is impossible to attain an expected control value and investigating what is attributable to its control failure and performing responding control and proper support. CONSTITUTION:A state evaluation section 1 performs a state evaluation based on a measurement data which shows a control state of a shield machine 4 and outputs its evaluation result to a rule base inference section 2. The inference section 2 carries out inference processing based on the result from the inference section and a register control rule from a rule base 3 and outputs its result to the shield machine, thereby controlling its operation. In the case when it is impossible to obtain expected control result, a problem grasp section 7 grasps what is the problem and outputs its data to a retrieval and inference section 8 as a inference parameter. Furthermore, the inference section 8 retrieves similar cases based on the cases registered in a case base 6 edited based on the parameter from the grasp section and a data editing section and supports operators based on the results.
