PURPOSE:To reduce the number of part items for an air bag mounting structure for an air bag device and to fabricate it easily by placing the flange part of an inflator on the peripheral part of the air bag, further placing this on an air bag holding part, and penetrating bolts or pins through the three parts to clamp them. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of an inflator 14 than its flange part 26 is inserted into the gas supply port 18 of an air bag 16 and the mounting port 12 of a retainer 10. The mounting port 12 of the retainer 10 and the flange 26 are used to grip the peripheral part of the gas supply port 18 of the air bag 16. Bolts are inserted into the opening 28 of the flange part 26, the bolt insertion opening of the air bag 26, and the bolt insertion opening 32 of the retainer 10 and nuts are used to tighten them. At this point, a pin 34A is inserted into each pin opening 30A, 32A to prevent the parts from being removed. |
