PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent resistance to light discoloration in exposure to light rays by blending a polyphenylene ether and a polyamide with metal particles having specific particle diameters and a specific aspect ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) a polyphenylene ether alone or a combination of the polyphenylene ether and a styrene polymer, (B) a polyamide (preferably nylon 6), optionally (C) an improver for impact strength, optionally (D) a compatibility improver (preferably citric acid or chloroformylsuccinic anhydride) and (E) metal particles (preferably Al particles) having <=10 micron average particle diameter and >=3 aspect ratio. For example, poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether my be cited as the polyphenylene ether of the component A. For example, high-density polyethylene, polybutadiene, etc., are used as the component C. |
