PURPOSE: To allow simple, low-cost, and preferably automatic assembly of a cover and efficient recycling of the cover by disposing cylindrical sleeves to receive fastening screws on the cover, and combining the sleeves to the cover through rubber bodies. CONSTITUTION: A cover 1 made, for example, of aluminum covers a valve chamber 2 in a cylinder block 3 of an internal combustion engine. The cover 1 has a flange face 4 to accommodate a stationary packing 5 made of an elastomer material. The cover 1 is fixed to the cylinder block 3 by fastening screws 6 combined with the cover 1 through the sleeves 7 and the rubber members 8 to shield structure-born sound. Thus, assembly of the cover can be achieved simply at a low cost, and allows automatic assembly and effective recycling of the cover. |
