摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a finish of mirrorlike glassy face smoothly and uniformly on inner surfaces of a cylindrical body, by the method of combined actions due to the electrolysis and mechanically rubbing movement with abrasives. CONSTITUTION:Electrode faces 5 of polishing heads 4 are pressed to inner surfaces of a cylindrical body 1 at a prescribed pressure to apply an electrolytic voltage. Simultaneously a mount 3 is turned toward the direction of arrow marks A, then the inner surfaces of the cylindrical body 1 are polished by the method of electrolytic composite action deriving from a rendering action due to the electrolysis and rubbing action due to abrasive materials 9 to permit rollers or gears 6 contacted or meshed to a fixed support shaft 2 to roll around the support shaft 2. Onto rotary shafts 7 of the roller or gear 6, the abrasive materials 9 which have passed the electrode faces 5 are wound simultaneously new abrasive materials 9 are drawn out onto the electrode faces 5 from abrasive material reels 8. Further with the turning motion of the mount 3, the support shaft 2 moves forward at a constant speed along its axial core, and the polishing heads 4 axially advance at a constant speed while rotating on the inner surfaces of the cylindrical body 1 to uniformly polish the inner surfaces of the cylindrical body 1.
