PURPOSE:To improve durability of a movable vane type rotary compressor as a whole, by making its movable vanes slide in respective guide grooves while urging them onto the inner surface of respective guide grooves located backwards in the direction of rotation, and thereby preventing that abnormal wear is caused to movable vanes and guide grooves. CONSTITUTION:Movable vanes 13 are slided in respective guide grooves 22 along its side face 30 located backwards in respect of rotation of rotor 11, by introducing compressed gas into gap 25 formed between side face 23 of guide groove 22 located forwards in respect of rotation of rotor 11 and pressure plate 24 interposed between movable vane 13 and said side face 23, displaceint the pressure plate 24 in the backward direction in respect of rotation of rotor 11, and thereby urging the movable vane 13 onto the side face 30 of guide groove 22. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent that abnormal wear is caused to movable vanes 13 and guide grooves 22, and at the same time, to improve durability of compressure as a whole. Further, since it is not necessary to make the sizes of rotor 11 and movable vanes 13 so large, the entire structure of compressor can be made compact. |
