<p>PURPOSE:To purify a gas by dry simultaneous desulfurization and dedusting in a moving bed by regenerating the desulfurizing and dedusting material discharged from the moving bed by oxidation with a regeneration gas, reducing the regenerated material with a reducing gas and recirculating the reduced material to the moving bed, thus dispensing with the severe maintenance and control of the regeneration temperature and preventing a lowering in the desulfurization performance. CONSTITUTION:The title process is one comprising subjecting the gas to be treated to dry simultaneous desulfurization and dedusting by feeding it to a moving bed 12 made from a granular desulfurizing and dedusting material 10 and regenerating the used desulfurizing and dedusting material and recirculating it, wherein at least part of the desulfurizing and dedusting material 10 discharged from the moving bed 12 is regenerated by oxidation by contact with a regenerating gas (in a regeneration tower 16), then reduced by contact with a reducing gas (in a reduction zone 18) and recirculated to the moving bed 12.</p> |
