摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To stably supply compressed air for long periods by a method in which compressed air is taken out from a compressed air storage tank consisting of a water pressure source such as river, a storage tank for flowing water under a given pressure, and a compressor by means of the water pressure. CONSTITUTION:The lowest part of the final end 1b of a large-size low-pressure air storage tank 1 is connected to river 10 by a water pipe 2 provided with a water pump 4, a check valve 5a, and a bypath valve 5b. The uppermost part of the initial end 1a of the tank 1 is connected with a compressor 8 by an air pipe 3, and the path to send compressed air from the compressor 8 to the tank 1 is separated from the path to send compressed air to an aeration tank 9 by a switch valve 12. A constant flow valve 11 is provided between the valve 12 and the tank 9. By using excess night electric power, compressed air is supplied into the tank 1, the pump 4 is operated to discharge flowing water from the tank 1 to the river 10 through the valve 5a, and flowing water in the tank 1 is replaced by compressed air. The valve 5b is opened in the morning in such a way as to apply the pressure resulting from the water level of the river 10 to the tank 1, and the compressed air is taken out at a fixed flow rate and under a fixed pressure by the valve 11.</p>
