PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which can keep its excellent slidability under various conditions, maintains its sliding effect for a long time, and excels in running properties, abrasion resistance, durability, etc., by using a lubricant comprising a perfluoropolyether containing terminal hydroxyl and a long-chain hydrocarbon containing inner hydroxyl. CONSTITUTION:The title lubricant comprises a perfluoropolyether containing terminal hydroxyl and a long-chain hydrocarbon containing inner hydroxyl. The perfluoropolyether/long-chain hydrocarbon ratio is desirably 0.01-100 (by a molar ratio). |
