PURPOSE: To obtain a method for smoothing a coating on a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A printing press 10 has a coating smoothing station 28 at an inline position along a processing line for smoothing a coating to be applied on a substrate 12. The coating is applied at a printing station 20-26 and the smoothing station effects smoothing of the coating without interfering with converting stations 30, 32 located downstream. |
