In order to adjust the pitch of the stator vanes (26), for example in the high-pressure compressor of a turbojet, a control system is proposed comprising a control ring (36), the supporting of which is provided independently of the casing (24) of the stator, by a structure (22) which is practically exempt from deformation during operation. This supporting calls upon three fixtures (38) which are articulated by pins (40) to the structure (22), and which carry the ring (36) at their opposite ends, via rollers (44). One of the fixtures (38) is equipped with a device (46) for controlling the rotation of the ring (36), which is connected to the vanes (26) by control rods (32). <IMAGE>
