<p>Copper base alloy for decorative plate suitable for replacing nickel-silver yet more easily fashionable, esp. by mass production methods comprises 15-35% Zn, 0.5-5% Ni, 5-20% Mn, balance Cu, (Zn + Mn is not > 40%). The alloy has a white colour, is cheaper than nickel silver. The alloy is fabricated by casting into an ingot at a temp. 1100 degrees C and hot rolling at 840-480 degrees C. It is then cold rolled and finally annealed 15 mins. at 525-675 degrees C.</p> |
