Prodn. of tin@ cpd. superconductor - by embedding material into copper@-tin@ matrix, applying tin@ layer, and heat treating
摘要
Prodn. of an A3Sn-type superconductor from a composite body is claimed, in which rods or filaments (1) of material A are embedded into a Cu-Sn matrix (2). An outer Sn-layer (3) is applied onto the Cu-Sn matrix (2). The tin-plated composite body is then heat treated, pref. several times, to diffuse the Sn of the outer Sn-layer (3) into the Cu-Sn matrix (2).The superconducting A3Sn cpd. is produced by further heat treatment. The superconductor produced is also claimed in which the composite body has a critical current density of more than 400 A/mm2 at 15 Tesla and an Sn content in the CuSn matrix of more than 7 wt.%. ADVANTAGE - The critical current densty of the superconductor is increased.
