In accordance with the procedure described in the present application, it is possible to maintain constant control and recording of events occurring, for example, inside an industrial plant, for the purpose of obtaining an immediate display of the data concerning the work carried out and the time elapsed for each operation, as well as being able to program logically a series of operations to be performed in succession. The operation requires the use of a single card, preferably of the "chip card" type, on which data can be written and read identifying the operator employed, data (note number, work to be carried out, etc.) relating to the work sheet associated with this operator, and also the time taken. The connection between each terminal and the central computer can be made in a conventional way, by means of serial lines, or by means of further "chip cards" issued by the central computer, the contents of which are loaded at intervals into the terminals. In either modes it is possible to obtain significant advantages compared with the traditional methods.
|
