The crusher comprises a trough with its inlet higher than its outlet and a rotor between the two. The rotor is motor-driven at high speed and breaks by impact material falling towards the outlet. Elastics, plastics, corrosion-resistant diaphragms between the rotor and the inlet prevent projection of fragments through the latter. Pref. the diaphragms are Neoprene (RTM).
