A pivoting wall attachment for lamps has a double sided mounting for a movable bracket with a corresponding outer support. The bracket holds the lamp and is screwed to a wall plate. The double-sided mounting has parallel ribs engaging in slots in the bracket to form a tilt axis. Alternatively, the ribs may be on the bracket instead. The attachment screws serve not only for fastening but also for limiting the angular sweep of the bracket. Levers with catches or shoulders on the wall plate may be used to supplement the limited angular sweep. The sweep is plus or minus 10 degrees around the tilt axis.
