An embroidery machine is erected on a stand with a suitable table, projecting arm beneath the needles and an embroidery frame, to work an embroidery pattern on a garment. The table is arranged in two parts, one fixed, the other capable of movement to at least three positions in which the garment is supported. The frame has a fixed table and a moving table, which can move up and down into at least three positions. This supports the garment hanging from the embroidery frame. The needle compartment works in conjunction with a projecting semi-circular arm. The table is operated by a lifting emchanism in three locations across the frame. This may be a bar and ratchet mechanism. ADVANTAGE - The embroidery frame is not tilted by the wt. of the garment, therefore preventing the embroidery stitches being out of position.
