A tubular component for guiding cables through a hole (BL) in a wall consists of a pipe (MD) and a supporting member (SW). The pipe (MD) is retained in the hole (BL) by an increase in pipe (MD) dia. in the areas (BK) close to both ends of the hole (BL). Increased pipe dia. is similar to the hole dia. (BL). An annulus between the increased dia. is filled with sealant. The tube (MD) is coated on the inside, at least at the ends. Adhesive may be i) a hot melt, e.g. polyamide or ii) heat activated, e.g. butyl rubber. USE/ADVANTAGE - For water and gas tight guidance of cables through holes in walls. Leaves sufficient room for sealant between pipe and hole walls and does not require additional tools or work for mounting.
