The limiter is effective in switching control secondary circuits and has a useful signal rectifying diode (D1), whose shunt (C1,R1,D3) contains a storage capacitor (C1) and an associated discharge element (R1). Parallel to an inductance-stray inductance (LS) is a charge path (D2) for receiving the inductance energy when the diode starts to block, due to voltage reversal at the inductance. Pref. for realisation of the charge path, a diode (D2) is in series to the capacitor, the discharge resistor, and another diode (D3) of identical polarity w.r.t. the first diode. USE/ADVANTAGE - For switch controllers, with reduced losses and/or signal distortion.
