The equipment fills kegs (2) each having a fitting (3) with openings connected to a standpipe and the key interior, both shut by automatic valves. The key is filled with flat liquid or one containing CO2 using a head containing a passage for liquid with valve (42), and one for gas. The inverted key forms a sealed joint between the standpipe (6) and the gas passage (56), and is pressurised to a predetermined level. The liquid valve is then opened and filling takes place under pressure, the gas being expelled and discharged via the gas passage, its flow being regulated by a valve so as to give a pressure difference between the liquid and the key interior.
