In a hinge of the double-knuckle type in which a leaf member (2) is carried from a bracket member (1) by means of at least one link (3, 4) which defines a knuckle, and the link is pivotally connected at opposite ends between the bracket and the leaf by means of a pair of spaced parallel hinge pins (5, 6), an exposed end of a hinge pin (6) between one of the members and the link is adapted to be shielded by an extension (14, 15) or part of the other member at least when the hinge is in a closed position in which the link lies in a plane parallel to the planes containing the leaf and the bracket. Thus when a door is closed, and preferably locked in a closed position, the hinge pins (5, 6) cannot be removed or tampered with sufficiently to enable the hinge to be dismantled to permit pilfering of the contents of a container provided with such a hinged connection between its doors and its frame to take place. <IMAGE>
