PURPOSE:To measure a very small ultrasonic signal at a high S/N ratio. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator 1 for generating continuous pulse signals, an AND gate 2, which turns ON/OFF the pulse signal in response to the presence or absence of a switching signal from the outside, and a transducer driving circuit 3, which receives the pulse signals through the AND gage and generates a burst wave for driving an ultrasonic transducer 4, are provided. Then, the driving circuit 3 includes an isolator 5 for inputting the pulse signals through the AND gate 2, a burst-wave generating means 6, which receives the pulse signals selects the waveform data corresponding to the input the number of pulses in the waveform data stored in a ROM 11 beforehand and outputs the burst wave after analog conversion, a power amplifier 7, which amplifies the burst wave to the specified level, and a circuit opening and closing means 8, which is turned ON only when there is the output from the power amplifier 7 and turned OFF in the other case. |
