PURPOSE:To provide a solid high polymer electrolyte fuel cell having no damage of a solid high polymer electrolyte film and excellent in reliability. CONSTITUTION:A solid high polymer electrolyte film 1 is provided with the electrodes 2, 3 having an outside dimension smaller than that of the solid high polymer electrolyte film and arranged opposite to each other through the film between them. Further, the outer peripheral part and the circumferential parts of the electrodes where do not be covered with electrodes 2, 3 of the solid high polymer electrolyte film 1 are covered with the reinforcing films 7, 8 to make a unit cell and this unit cell is held between the reaction gas supply plates 4 through a gas sealing parts provided on the peripheral part of solid high polymer electrolyte film while being sealed. |
