PURPOSE:To provide a pin jack allowing an application to analog and digital signal terminals in common by constituting a single jack of two sets of a terminal section using one contact of the first group and a terminal section using three contacts of the second group, and causing a terminal section to be selected according to the length of the center conductive section of an inserted pin plug. CONSTITUTION:The first contact 11 is connected to the analog audio signal output section of a CD playback section, and the second contact 12 is connected to the digital audio signal output section of the CD playback section. Furthermore, the third contact 13 is connected to a digital signal grounding terminal in a device, and the fourth contact 14 is connected to the DC 5V signal output section of a power output section. Also, a conductive section 15 is connected to an analog signal grounding terminal in the device. In this constitution, the contact 11 is caused to come into contact with a center conductive section 1, while the contacts 12, 13 and 14 are respectively caused to come into contact with the first, second and third conductive sections 41, 42 and 43, depending upon the degree of the insertion of a pin plug 40. Two sets of terminal sections are automatically selected with a change in the length of the center coductive section of the plug 40 as mentioned.
