CONSTITUTION:This device removes the residues of development at the time of forming color patterns by exposing and developing the photosensitive materials for forming the colored layers applied on substrates 1. The device has a first developing tank 12 provided with a low-pressure spraying device 16 for removing the residues of the photosensitive materials for forming the colored layers, a second developing tank 1 provided with a high-pressure spraying device 19 for removing the residues failing to be removed in the first developing tank 12 and a self-washing device 20 for supplying water to the inside wall of the second developing tank 1. A shower device which imparts high-frequency oscillations to the water may be provided in place of the high- pressure spraying device 19.
