PURPOSE:To improve an efficiency of many wavelength conversions by so setting a length of an optical path of a second resonator of an external resonator to integer times of a length of an optical path of a first resonator that a frequency difference of vertical modes of two intrinsic polarization modes becomes odd times of a half of an interval of the vertical mode of the resonator. CONSTITUTION:A basic wave laser light generated in a laser medium is so resonated as to pass a first nonlinear optical crystal element 17 provided in a resonator 13 thereby to generate a second harmonic wave laser light. The laser generator comprises a first laser resonator 13 in which a frequency difference of a vertical mode in two intrinsic polarization modes of the resonator becomes odd times of a half of an interval of the vertical mode of the resonator, and a second resonator 20 having a nonlinear optical crystal element 22, supplied with a laser light from the resonator 13 and having a length of an optical path of integer times of the length of the optical path of the resonator 13. Two modes or more of the laser light from an SHG laser resonator can be simultaneously introduced into the resonator 20. |
