<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rotary head type magnetic recording and reproducing device having a tape traveling mechanism which does not execute position regulation in the width direction of a tape with the frange part of a tape guide and moreover realizes position regulation in the width direction of the tape sufficiently accurately with a relatively simple mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A inclined tape guide 3 is disposed near a drum 1 to winding a magnetic tape 2 around the drum 1 having a rotary head. Also, a movable tape guide 4, a motor 5 for rocking the guide 4 and an arm 6 for transmitting the rotational force of the motor 5 to the movable tape guide 4 are provided as a means changing the winding angle of the magnetic tape 2 to the inclined tape guide 3.</p> |
